Spectacular Independence Day Celebrations Illuminate Panchtarni

At over 12,000 ft, Tiranga adorned with Pushp Varsha


Panchtarni base camp, enroute Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine, transformed into a canvas of patriotism and unity on India’s 77th Independence Day. The event united civil and security agencies, pilgrims, and stakeholders in a heartwarming commemoration that celebrated the nation’s essence.

The event began with Thakur Sher Singh, JKAS, Camp Director Panchtarni, hoisting the National Flag, accompanied by a resonant rendition of the National Anthem by everyone present there.

The ‘Pushp Varsha’ from a helicopter adorned the Tricolour as it fluttered against the majestic Himalayan backdrop. This breathtaking tribute unfolded at a soaring elevation of over 12,000 ft, infusing the occasion with grandeur and reverence.

Following this, a warm breakfast gathering ensued, uniting civil and security agency members, pilgrims, and stakeholders for sharing a meal and reflecting on the significance of the day. This allowed for meaningful interactions and discussions, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

The celebrations at the Panchtarni campsite under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, underscored the unity, dedication, and pride that binds our nation. The event encapsulated the collective ethos of participants, reinforcing the values of freedom, unity, and progress that India holds dear.

Officials from civil and security agencies, including Munish Anand SP JKP, Major Mala 7 Para Army, Tejveer Singh Deputy Commandant ITBP, Ashwani Hansa, Rahul Sharma, Kuldeep Kumar, Daleep Kumar, Additional Camp Directors, Nodal Officer Sanitation, Khaleel Ahmed, Vikram Singh DSP, Suresh Kumar ASI Panjtarni and all other departments stationed at Panchtarni were present on the occasion. They were joined by the stakeholders, Langer Association, Tent Association, Sanitation Workers, Dandi Association, Pony Walas, Pithoo Walas, and Representatives of Heli Operators.
