Brett Lee pitches for #RightToHear in Jammu

Brett Lee is an internationally-renowned former Australian Cricketer. This is a fact. You know it. Every cricket fan knows it. But hey, do you know how is he as a person? He’s warm and kind.

Recently, I got a chance to interview Brett during his first visit to Jammu. This was like once in a lifetime opportunity for me – being face-to-face with THE BRETT LEE, and it had come unprecedently and unexpectedly my way.

Having watched cricket for years, I knew about Brett and his legendary cricketing career in all three formats. However, his visit was not about the sport, but the cause he’s now associated with, that is, ‘Right to Hear’. Brett is the first Global Hearing Ambassador. (Probably, I was living under a rock to not know this!)

Here’s the video of the ‘almost impromptu’ interview where Brett Lee talks about his journey ‘from Cricket to Cochlear’, and his joy on being a part of the mission ensuring every human’s Right To Hear.

Honestly, Brett is a good sport. Watch him ‘pass’ the mic to me!!

Also, the interview features Dr Rohan Gupta, ENT Consultant SMVD Narayana Super Speciality Hospital, who has been credited with 9 successful Cochlear surgeries in J&K. Dr Gupta advocates early intervention to win the battle against hearing impairment.
